“…Most literature evidences that project activities should first be conceptualized, regularized, approved, and authenticated in order to be compulsorily adopted in the project governance process and lead to optimal project performance for public sector development projects. Therefore, these findings are highly consistent with the previous literature (Gunawardana et al, 2021;Sakalasuriya, 2020;Brunet, 2019;Khan et al, 2019;Brunet & Aubry, 2016;Gunawardhane & Karunasena, 2016). “…The public sector project is implemented, managed, and monitored over a sequential path from its commencement to its end in accordance with the project governance mandate. Structuring, normalization, facilitation, and post-conflict sensitive PG practices can all be combined through this sequential path (Sakalasuriya, 2020;Athukorala et al, 2017). The empirical and exploratory case study findings showed that PG practices directly, positively, and significantly affected financial performance as well as non-financial performance, indicating that 77% (approximately) of the hypothetical paths (direct and indirect) have been derived from the structural model.…”

“…Armed con ict has been proved to have a major and long-term in uence on public health, particularly the spread of infectious illnesses, according to scholars [e.g., 12,17]. Armed wars devastate the infrastructures, such as power, water, and health care, that is required for a healthy living [18,19]. In this regard, Wagner et al [20] indicated that armed con icts have more than doubled the death toll of unarmed women.…”

“…These findings suggest that while conflicts due to economic resources and legal issues occur in the transmigration settlements, disputes between national and customary laws also color the interaction dynamics in multiethnic societies. In this context, government intervention in conflict resolution will be problematic because it can trigger the emergence of new tensions (Sakalasuriya et al, 2018).…”
