Abstract:When a train is running on a railway track, its wheel-rail's dynamic and static forces exerts a vertical, longitudinal, and lateral load on the ground. A railroad track has two main parts which are superstructure which includes fastening systems, tie, and rail and substructure which includes fill material, bottom ballast, top ballast, subgrade, and sub ballast.
