A concept analysis of compassionate midwifery

Abstract: This concept analysis provides a unique examination of compassionate midwifery and starting point for reflection on practice, education and further analysis. Empirical studies will provide the potential to take the process further by studying the experience of compassionate midwifery from different perspectives. A theory of compassionate midwifery will develop as new findings emerge.

Esa cultura organizacional de rapidez y priorización en la eficiencia termina perjudicando la calidad del cuidado y la posibilidad de establecer una atención compasiva 5,8,14,[17][18][19] .…”

“…Furthermore this work has provided defining attributes, antecedents and consequences which are derived from and relevant to health care practice giving real world contextual meaning to the findings. Understanding and defining compassion is not just of relevance or only applicable to UK practice, the findings of this concept analysis didn't focus purely on one specific discipline as reported in other cases [58]. Therefore findings will be transferable to all health professions where treatment and patient-centred care is an essential requirement of the role.…”
