Enterprises have used e-business systems to efficiently perform their business in a global management environment. Firms have applied their e-business capabilities to management activities in order to raise the performance of business execution and improve their competitiveness in a global market environment. In this business environment, the measurement and management for the performance of a firm's e-business execution need to efficiently build its e-business environment and effectively improve its e-business capability and management results. We present a comprehensive tool for measuring an enterprise e-business performance to totally manage and improve the e-business performance in this environment. The measurement factors and items for a firm e-business performance are developed and extracted from the definition and major components of a general firm performance in previous literature. The generated measurement items were verified by factor analysis and reliability analysis through a pilot test. The twelve items were developed from twenty items by these analyses. This study developed a 11-item tool that can totally analyze an enterprise e-business performance in a global management environment. The developed tool consists of four analysis factors and twelve items.

Abstract-In an IT environment, enterprises have applied IT to their management and business activities. It is very important that a firm efficiently apply IT to its management activities and to improve the performance of tasks. The measurement and management for a firm IT capability need to improve the management and business performance in an IT environment. Perceived measures are necessary for a firm to gauge its IT capability, for it to manage and improve its IT capability. The first measurement items were developed from the research of previous literature and expert reviews. The 16-item scale was extracted by the validity and reliability analysis from the first generated measurement items. The developed tool can be utilized for efficiently measuring a firm IT capability in terms of a comprehensive IT capability.Index Terms-Information technology (IT), firm it capability, measurement factor and item, measurement tool. I. INTRODUCTIONNowadays, enterprises are performing their management activities and business tasks in an IT environment. Most firms are applying IT (Information Technology) to the management and business activities for improving their business performance. They cannot efficiently perform the demands of global market without efficiently applying IT to their businesses. Enterprises have built information systems to raise business task performance and improve competitiveness [1]-[3]. IT is an important way to improve and preserve a firm's task performance in the ever-changing business environment [4]. In this environment, it is indispensable to apply IT to the business activities of a firm. Managing and building an IT environment appreciate for a firm is very important to improve an enterprise's IT ability for management activities and task performance. In order to manage and improve its IT environment, we need a scientific and objective tool that can measure its IT capability. Firm IT capability should be improved by objective criteria based on the measurement results. Previous study has barely studied such a tool to gauge firm IT capability. The enterprise's IT ability has only been researched from specific perspectives, not for a firm's entire IT capability [4]- [7]. Abstract-The end-user computing capability is necessitated for efficiently performing his or her given tasks and improving his or her business performance in an computing environment. A measurement framework and items of an end-user computing competency is extracted from the major components of a general computing competency. Through a survey measurement of 287 respondents, this study performed factor and reliability analyses, and proposed a 15-item framework that can examine an end-user computing competency in an organizational computing environment. The application of the measure is confirmed by applying it to measuring the computing competency of the end-users in a firm computing environment and by presenting the measurement results for them.Index Terms-End-User computing, competency, framework, measurement items. I. INTRODUCTIONIn a computer system environment, the end-users use their computing systems for performing the end-users' given tasks. In this environment, we can think that their computing ability have an effect on the performance of their tasks in a computing environment. Hence, this research considers the measures to efficiently examine the end-user computing ability and improve it for raising his or her business completion and the competitiveness of an enterprise. But the researches on the measurement of the end-user computing ability have not actively executed, and these studies focus on specific software skills, professional skills, and operational skills and so on [1]- [3]. For the end-users effectively accomplish their tasks in a computing environment, they have to be qualified with not fragmentary computing skills but the total computing ability including the concepts, knowledge, application, and experience departments. The measurement scale suitable for examining end-user computing ability in a whole computing capability perspective are very important to effectively manage and improve the computing capability that an end-user can efficiently execute the given tasks in a computing environment.
