“…Regarding subsampling of participants as a function of interindividual differences, a total of five studies compared healthy females with those meeting prospective criteria for premenstrual syndrome [61] or premenstrual dysphoric disorder [70] or meeting retrospective criteria for premenstrual syndrome [42,53,73].
