A Case of an Inflammatory Pseudotumor in the Cecum

Abstract: A 44-year-old woman presented to our surgical outpatient department with right lower abdominal pain. A firm fist-sized mass was palpable in the right lower abdomen. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) showed a swelling of appendix and high-density tissues around the cecum. The patient was diagnosed with local peritonitis accompanied by acute appendicitis.
