A robot task procedure in real time and applying the result to modify its task plan. Robot are required to perform tasks in conformity with user instruction, status or situations, it is intuitive that they should receive necessary information or adhoc decisions from the user during the tasks. The video surveillance unit is designed for the portability and widest possible viewing range. The unit consists of a stepper motor that drives the camera towards reference points automatically by the computer and a transmitter transmits the images collected by the camera to a distant end.

The shortcoming of Wi-Fi networks is that one user can access the router at a time. This drawback limits the system throughput and delay. This paper proposes a concept of Simultaneously Different Tx/Rx (SDTR) radiation patterns with only one antenna set at the router. Furthermore, these two patterns have to be simultaneously operated at the same time so that the system delay can be eased. An omni-directional pattern is employed at router for receiving mode so that the router can sense carrier signal from all directions. At the same time, the router launches a directional beam pointed to another user. A proposed circuit allows these two modes to be able to operate the same time. To evaluate the SDTR concept, a prototype is constructed for testing in real circumstance comparing to computer simulation. As a result, the SDTR concept can improve the system throughput while decreasing the system delay comparing to conventional system.

A No-Network Matched High Gain Vertical Array Antenna for VHF Band Applications

This paper proposes a design method of vertically polarized VHF high-gain antenna, a four-element array form. Our design improves the overall gain of the antenna and reduces its loss. In our design, the conventional impedance conversion methods are abandoned. Instead, we directly use transmission lines for impedance match which greatly reduces the loss of the antenna in the frequency range of 150 MHz-300 MHz, ensuring that the antenna provides a higher gain, and its signal transmission efficiency is also improved.
