Abstract:Gas-phase multinuclear magnetic resonance (MR) spectra allow the total elimination of intermolecular effects from magnetic shielding in molecules. Consequently, the resonance frequencies of isolated atoms and molecules are also available for reading from MR spectra. Following the connectivity between nuclear magnetic moments, resonance frequencies of two different nuclei in the same MR experiment and the shielding of helium-3, it is demonstrated that the direct shielding measurement is available on a nuclear M… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
