A Blockchain-Assisted Trust Access Authentication System for Solid

Abstract: The Solid (Social Linked Data) project focuses on data sharing and privacy security and aims to build a decentralized ecosystem that radically changes the way web applications work today. Our goal is to introduce a ''trust access authentication system'' to achieve secure authentication and fine-grained access control, thereby promoting the implementation of Solid. Blockchain, equipped with multiple security properties and authentication functions, is a crucial technology. In this paper, we present a blockchain… Show more

“…Sinisa Matetic et al [48] proposed a new Bitcoin protection method for light client competition, which provided significant protection for light clients. Ting Cai et al designed a Blockchain-Assisted Trust Access Authentication System for Solid [49]. With the increasing interest of blockchain in academic research and industry, the security and privacy of blockchain will attract considerable attention gradually.…”

“…Ramachandran et al (2020) demonstrate how together Solid data stores (namely, pods) and blockchains can be used for trustless verification with confidentiality. Patel et al (2019) propose a fully decentralized protocol named DAuth that leverages asymmetric encryption in order to implement authentication; Cai et al (2020) introduce a secure Solid authentication mechanism, integrating Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) signatures into permissioned blockchain systems. In turn, Becker et al (2021) demonstrate how data stored in Solid pods can be monetized by leveraging a blockchain based payment system.…”
