A novel system was investigated, finalized to reduce the impact of highly polluting wastewaters, and based on combined actions of catalytic oxidations and microbial biotechnologies. Olive oil mill wastewaters (COD 10,000-100,000 mg O(2)/L) were oxidized up to 80-90% by stoichiometric amounts of dilute hydrogen peroxide (35%) and in the presence of water soluble iron catalysts, either Fe(II) or Fe(III), at concentrations up to 1% w/w and more, i.e., much larger than those reported for conventional Fenton processes. In the combined action, the mineralization activity of a selected microbial consortium was used to degrade residual volatile and nonvolatile organic compounds into CO(2) and biomass. The results of this search could suggest an improved operational methodology capable to reduce the potential impact of wastewater.

The study was designed to evaluate the production of auxin by eukaryotic unicellular organism Pichia fermentans. Different media formulations were used for the production of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) under broth and submerged conditions. Wheat straw-based production medium was formulated and optimized using statistical approach. The IAA production was significantly enhanced by nine folds, when the wheat straw was pretreated with Phanerochaete chrysosporium (150 µg/ml) as compared to untreated wheat straw (16.44 µg/ml). Partial purification of IAA was carried out by silica gel column chromatography and further confirmed by high-performance liquid chromatography. Exogenous application of crude and partially purified IAA positively influenced the Vigna radiata seedling growth. The number of lateral roots in the growing seedlings was significantly higher as compared to the control seeds. Thus, the present findings point towards an efficient production of plant hormone by yeast and white rot fungus using abundantly available wheat straw, which may lead to the development of cost-effective production of such metabolites and their further use in agricultural field to reduce the negative impact of chemical fertilizers.

The main point in contract for construction, attorney and employment is to perform the obligation personally in accordance with the contract. Because in these contracts, the contract is concluded by taking into consideration the personality, ability and skill of the party relying on it. In this sense, Art.486 of the TCO regulates the contract of construction on the subject, it is stipulated that the contract of construction concluded by taking into account the personal characteristics of the contractor, the contract will automatically terminate with the death of the contractor. In the provision of Art.513 of the TCO, it is stated that the death of attorney or the client will automatically terminate the contract. This situation is also parallel in contract of employment. TCO Art.440 regulates that in the event of employee’s death, the contract of employment will automatically terminate. After the mentioned regulation, TCO Art. 440/f.2 regulates that the employment contracts established by taking into account the personal characteristics of the employer will automatically terminate with the death of the employer. In our study, detailed explanations will be made about how the death of one of the parties in construction, attorney and employment contracts will effect the primary obligations. In this sense, the effect of death on the primary obligations arising from the contract will be addressed according to the conclusion of the contract taking into account the personal characteristics of the parties.
