Abstract: BackgroundIncreasing trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (TMP/SMX) resistance has been noted among inpatient and outpatient isolates of methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) at two community teaching hospitals in Northern New Jersey.
