44.1: A 1.8-in. QVGA AMOLED Display with New Driving Method and Ultra Slim Technology

Abstract: We have developed a 1.8-inch QVGA AMOLED display with the world's highest pixel density of 223ppi by using high precision shadow mask evaporation method, a hybrid emission structure, and a new time division control (TDC) driving method which make it possible to realize high density AMOLED display. From the first design, we have confirmed the suitability of the new driving method and proved the possibility for high-resolution AMOLED displays.
