“…To ensure the future proper management of solid waste, Thailand has established the National 3R Strategy and the National Master Plan for Waste Management (2016-2021). Furthermore, Thailand also launched a "Plastic Debris Management Plan 2017-2021," which comprises promotion and introduction of eco-packaging design and eco-friendly plastic substitution, development of the material flow for plastic containers and packaging inventory, implementation of the 3Rs strategy for plastic debris management, and the promotion of education for relevant stakeholders in the field of plastics and its alternative materials [124]. Moreover, more effective plastic waste management can be created by implementation of legislation or revision of the laws to improve the efficiency and reduce the amount of plastic waste, such as imposing plastic bag fees, strengthening the 3Rs measures, and encouraging the implementation of CE in plastic value chains.…”

“…In general, as it is expected, the term has been associated with the environment. However, the logic behind the 3R's approach has been implemented in other sectors such as information technology (IT), solid waste management, and plastic waste management (Gadde, et al, 1997;Alahari, et al, 2008;Anik et al 2018;Wichai-utcha, & Chavalparit, 2019). While there are different ways to interpret the 3R's philosophy, as far as CE is concerned, the 3R's are considered to be the link between the financial and the environmental factors and the more practical side of the model, especially in production and consumption (Yuan, et al, 2006;Su, et al, 2013;Heshmati, 2015;Vasiljevic-Shikaleska, et al, 2017).…”

“…In the circular economy context, the generated wastes from different activities of supply chains are collected from proper channels and returned to a special remanufacturing unit for further reuse. To incorporate the CE practices in supply chains, initially, the "3R" principles were introduced to reduce, reuse and recycle of the energy and materials consumptions (Huang et al, 2018;Wichai-utcha and Chavalparit, 2019). Currently, to improve the supply chain activities, 6R policies are introduced to literature, where additional three dimensions such as recover, redesign and remanufacture are considered (Ghisellini and Ulgiati, 2020).…”
