“…The HRTEM image (Figure 4c) of the Ag ‐1.8 @Ti 3 C 2 T x composite showed a fringe with a lattice spacing of 0.23 nm corresponding to (111) of Ag and 0.26 nm related to (100) of Ti 3 C 2 T x . [ 36,37 ] The SAED pattern (Figure 4d) confirmed the polycrystalline phase at the junction of the Ag and Ti 3 C 2 T x interfaces and was composed of a series of diffraction rings, and the spacing and indices for the rings were (110), (100), and (110), respectively, which are consistent with TiO 2 , Ag, and Ti 3 C 2 T x .…”

“…As shown in Figure 2f,g, consistent with the Ti 2p spectrum, the Ti ions of the Ag@Ti 3 C 2 T x composites changed from a lower valence state to a higher valence state after the modification of Ag nanoparticles and demonstrates that the introduction of Ag ions oxidized the TiOH groups to TiOTi bonds. [ 35 ] According to our previous work, [ 36,37 ] doping TiO 2 and Ag is a benefit to their interface polarization effect, however, the excess of TiO 2 and Ag will increase the weight of the sample, which causes the honeycomb structure to collapse. The COO and CF bonds detected in Figure 2h,i indicate that the surface functional groups existed on the surfaces of the pure Ti 3 C 2 T x and the Ag@Ti 3 C 2 T x composites.…”

“…The microwave absorption of multilayer Ti 3 C 2 T x annealed at 800 °C was best, which was due to the enhanced polarization loss and stronger conduction loss. (100,200,300,400, and 500 °C) for 2 h [129]. The multilayer Ti 3 C 2 T x calcined at 100 °C showed excellent EM wave-absorbing properties, with a minimum RL value of − 40.07 dB at 19.2 GHz and the absorption bandwidth of 3.8 GHz.…”

“…Hence, incorporation of a second phase is very important. Semiconductors such as ZnO [9], SiC [10], MoS2 [11] and TiO2 [12] are usually introduced into Ti3C2Tx to enhance microwave absorbing abilities due to their moderate dielectric constant, effective heterojunction formation and better impedance matching. Recently, a sandwich-like structure of the MoS2/TiO2/Ti3C2Tx as nanocomposite was shown to possess improved microwave absorption ability when compared to the pure Ti3C2Tx [11].…”

“…The Cole-Cole semicircles consist of several semicircles, which diverge from the ideal Cole-Cole semicircles, indicating the polarization and conductance loss mechanism in S2 samples. It is also well illustrated that both conduction loss and relaxation loss play important roles in dielectric loss. The electromagnetic wave absorption performance of the MoS2 and MoS2/TiO2/Ti3C2Tx composites were investigated over 2-18 GHz and the reflection loss (RL) are calculated by the following equations[12]: for the frequency of electromagnetic wave, d represents the thickness of the sample, c is the the velocity of EM wave, Zin and Z0 are the input impedance of the composite and free space, respectively, and ɛr and µr are the complex relative permittivity and complex permeability, respectively. In general, the RL value exceeding -10 dB indicates 90% consumption of incident electromagnetic wave, implying an ideal electromagnetic wave absorber.…”
