“…NPs have been developed for disease diagnosis and targeted drug delivery systems [63,64]. The human tumor cells lines used in this work study are under constant investigation by other groups that have contributed to information about the behavior, mechanisms and treatment efficacy [45,[58][59][60][61][62][63][64][65][66][67][68][69]. Nanomedicine, emerge as a promising platform for theranostic strategies [65].…”

“…Polylactic acid (PLA) polymeric nanoparticles were prepared by double emulsion solvent evaporation technique as described by Rosa et al [58]. Briefly, 2 mL of 1 wt% PVA solution was dripped into 3 mL of dichloromethane, with 100 mg of PLA (with a molar mass of 60,000 g/mol).…”

“…For instance, Shen et al 35 have used polyoxyethylene sorbitan oleate-modified hollow gold nanoparticles for lung therapy with expressive results. Also, Rosa et al 36 have developed polymeric dacarbazine microparticles radiolabeled with 99m Tc and 223 Ra for lung cancer therapy and diagnosis with good results.…”

“…After that, cells were treated with magnetic core-mesoporous silica doped with dacarbazine (0.1-10 mg/ml) in fresh 1% FBS medium DMEM, at 37 C in humidified 5% CO 2 . After 72 h, MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay was performed as previously described by Rosa et al [19]. Briefly, cells were incubated with MTT (1 mg/ml) in 1% FBS DMEM, in the dark at 37 C, for 2 h, allowing MTT be reduced to formazan crystals by viable cells.…”
