25.5 to 76.5GHz active frequency tripler for automotive radar applications

Abstract: Abslracl -This paper discusses the development of a 25.5 GHz to 16.5 GHz single stage active frequency tripler for automotive radar applications. With an input drive level of 17 dBm at fl3, the frequency triplers tested demonstrated an output power level of 0 dBm from 13 to 82 GHz The frequency tripler was subsequently cascaded with a 25.5 GHz VCO to demonstrate a 165 GHz VCO.
