Abstract:Summary. Analysis of the results of operations on 673 patients (794 extremities) for thoracic outlet compression syndrome and its complications shows that, at present, only two operations should be performed: supraclavicular extirpation of a cervical rib and resection of the first rib. This first rib resection should be performed via the transaxil!ary route.
