Background: Empowerment leads to personal freedom, encouraging individuals' participation in collective actions, transforming them, as citizens in their own environment. Objectives: To identify women's perceptions of their empowerment and autonomy after participation in the Thousand Women Program (Programa Mulheres Mil). Methodology: Qualitative study based on Paulo Freire's research itinerary. The sample was composed of 9 women participating in the Thousand Women Program. Results: The problematization methodology used by nursing is a way of increasing women's empowerment. The participants acknowledged their reality and identified topics related to violence against women and the teaching-learning process, reflecting on their perceptions of empowerment, autonomy, and overcoming their situation of vulnerability. Conclusions: Projects and programs with the purpose of promoting the educational, social, and economic inclusion of women in situations of vulnerability are important for improving these women's professional qualifications and, consequently, their economic autonomy, quality of life, and empowerment.

A violência contra a mulher é um fenômeno complexo que provoca efeitos negativos sobre sua saúde. O princípio da Teoria de Enfermagem de Levine é manter ou recuperar uma pessoa (a mulher que vivencia a violência) para um estado de saúde (longe da violência). Objetivo: analisar, pela ótica da Teoria de Enfermagem de Levine, o atendimento da enfermeira às mulheres que sofreram violência. Método: pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva realizada na Estratégia de Saúde da Família do Rio de Janeiro-Brasil, com 11 enfermeiras que prestaram atendimento às mulheres em situação de violência, com base em entrevistas utilizando roteiro de perguntas semiestruturado. Pesquisa aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e Secretaria Municipal de Saúde. Os depoimentos foram analisados pelo método do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Resultados: a análise das entrevistas resultou em quatro ideias centrais referentes a: conservação de energia, integridade estrutural, pessoal e social das mulheres. Conclusão: o cuidado precisa possibilitar conservação de energia, por meio da atenção integral às mulheres, e não apenas focado na violência. Enfatizaram questões como acolhimento e acesso à unidade de saúde, resgatando vínculos dessa mulher com membros da rede social. Palavras-chave: Enfermagem; Saúde da Família; Violência Contra a Mulher. ABSTR ACT Violence against women is a complex phenomenon that causes negative effects on their health. The principle of Levine's Theory of Nursing is to keep or recover a person (the woman who experiences violence) to a state of health (away from violence). Objective: to analyze, from the point of view of Levine's Nursing Theory, nursing care for women who have suffered violence. Method: qualitative and descriptive research, carried out in the Family Health Strategy from Rio de Janeiro-Brazil, with eleven nurses who provided care to women living in violence situations, through individual interviews using a semi-structured questions instrument.

RESUMO: Objetivo: Verificar associação entre a história de violência contra a mulher e características sociodemográficas e comportamentais do parceiro íntimo. Métodos: Estudo transversal realizado com 938 mulheres usuárias da atenção básica de saúde, com idade entre 20 e 59 anos e que no momento da entrevista possuíam parceiro íntimo. Foram coletadas informações sobre as características sociodemográficas e comportamentais, do parceiro íntimo, bem como foi aplicado o instrumento World Health Organization Violence Against Woman (WHO VAW Study) para o rastreamento da violência psicológica, física e sexual vivenciada no último ano. Foi realizada análise bivariada, por meio do teste do c2 de Pearson, e multivariada usando regressão de Poisson com variância robusta. Resultados: As maiores prevalências de violência psicológica, física e sexual estiveram significativamente associadas aos parceiros que não possuíam ocupação e que recusaram o uso do preservativo nas relações sexuais. Homens que foram considerados controladores e que ingeriam bebida alcoólica estiveram associados a maior perpetração de violência psicológica e física (p < 0,05). Parceiros com até 8 anos de escolaridade apresentam maior frequência de prática de violência psicológica (RP = 1,32; IC95% 1,05 - 1,66), enquanto a violência sexual foi significativamente maior entre as mulheres cujos parceiros fumavam (RP = 1,94; IC95% 1,11 - 3,38). Conclusões: Esses dados evidenciam a importância de os profissionais de saúde atuarem juntamente a outros setores, tais como educação e segurança, no enfrentamento ao álcool e outras drogas, bem como na abordagem das questões de gênero.
