Parâmetros cinéticos determinantes do desempenho nos saltos verticais. DOI: 10.5007/1980-0037.2012v14n1p41

Abstract: This study evaluated force and velocity parameters of vertical jump performance in countermovement jump (CMJ) and squat jump (SJ) and compared results for sprint runners and volleyball players. Twenty-four male athletes (12 regional/national-level sprint runners and 12 national-level volleyball players) performed CMJ and SJ on a force platform. The following variables were analyzed: jump performance (jump height and power), peak velocity (PV), absolute and relative maximum force (MF), rate of force development… Show more

“…However, in some studies, it was compared the kinetic and kinematic parameters during jump exercises of athletes who competed in different sports. Dal-Pupo et al, (2012) compared force and velocity values during SJ and countermovement jump in the both sprint runners and volleyball players. In mentioned study, it was reported that sprint runners had greater values in terms of PV in both countermovement jump and SJ than volleyball players.…”

“…Strength and velocity parameters determining power may have varied characteristics according to the movement practiced in sport branches (Dal-Pupo, Detanico & Dos-Santos, 2012). Determining these parameters can be useful while determining specific training characters in sports where explosive but various movements required.…”

“…The power rating can be characterized as the rate of work realization. This is shown as units of time, more specifically, the power produced by speech (Dal Pupo, Detanico, & Santos, 2012).…”

“…Performance in vertical jumps is considered one of the most efficient indicators of the level of muscle power, which is produced by the lower limbs muscles (Dal Pupo, Detanico, & Santos, 2012). An important variable that relates to power is the elastic energy stored in the elastic structures of the agonist muscles during the jumping impulse phase, which is based on the stretching-shortening cycle (CAE) (Komi, 2000).…”
