Introdução: A Apneia Obstrutiva do Sono (AOS) causa apneias e hipopneias recorrentes, levando à hipóxia intermitente, inflamação, estresse oxidativo e maior ativação simpática, aumentando o risco de doenças cardiovasculares. A polissonografia é o exame padrão-ouro para diagnóstico, mas é cara e pouco acessível, especialmente na Amazônia. A Doença de Parkinson (DP) tem etiologia multifatorial, incluindo predisposição genética, disfunções mitocondriais, estresse oxidativo, neuroinflamação e fatores ambientais como metais e toxinas. Objetivo Principal: Analisar a correlação entre questionários de triagem de distúrbios do sono, achados otorrinolaringológicos e resultados de polissonografia tipo 1. Metodologia: Este estudo transversal, realizado no Centro Observatório de Doenças Otorrinolaringológicas do Amazonas, analisou pacientes com Doença de Parkinson (DP) ao longo de 12 meses. Participaram indivíduos com DP, estadiamento 1-3 na escala de Hoehn-Yahr, com ou sem Apneia Obstrutiva do Sono (AOS). Foram excluídos pacientes com demência, doenças graves, ou já em tratamento com CPAP. A sonolência foi avaliada pela Escala de Epworth, e o diagnóstico de AOS foi baseado no Índice de Apneia e Hipopneia pela polissonografia noturna. Resultados e Discussão: Dos 25 participantes, 14 (53,8%) eram homens, alinhando-se à maior prevalência da Doença de Parkinson (DP) no sexo masculino. Na polissonografia, 10 (40,0%) apresentaram Ronco Primário e 8 (32,0%) Apneia Obstrutiva do Sono (AOS) leve. A Escala de Sonolência de Epworth indicou sonolência em 14 (56,0%) dos indivíduos. Embora estudos relacionem a DP à sonolência diurna e à AOS, o estudo não considerou fatores como tratamento dopaminérgico e obesidade, que podem influenciar esses resultados. Conclusão: Devido à limitada disponibilidade de Polissonografia no SUS e seu alto custo na rede privada, a avaliação cuidadosa da sonolência pela ESE em pacientes com Doença de Parkinson pode auxiliar no manejo adequado desse distúrbio, melhorando a qualidade de vida dos afetados. Novos estudos com amostras maiores são necessários para identificar a correlação entre as variáveis propostas.
