Abstract:Additive manufacturing is an emerging tool that has contributed to the sustainable fabrication of devices in several areas based on the concept of “zero waste”. Considering extrusionbased manufacturing (or 3D printing), polylactic acid (PLA) has been highlighted due to its biodegradability, obtention from renewable sources, and compatibility for 3D printing. Composites of PLA with conducting fillers, such as carbon-black (CB/PLA), are commercially-available and compatible with extrusion-based 3D printers and … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
