“…As such, our results support less rigid recommendations for configuring facial sEMG sensors when used by healthy individuals to control a HMI. These results are encouraging for individuals requiring an alternate access method (e.g., adaptive scanners, brain interfaces, eye- or head-trackers) [4648]. At present, one of the main clinically-used augmentative systems is eye-tracking [2, 49]; however, the calibration and setup processes for such systems are laborious, in that the level of support required to provide adequate control over the system is prohibitive [49, 50].…”

“…Between the main types of speech alterations, distortion (anterior and lateral lisp) is due to musculoskeletal, and for this reason, it is one of the interest in this study. 5 Although there are some studies in previous literature that evaluate the relationship among malocclusions with tongue position and speech distortion, 2,6,7,8,9 epidemiological studies with representative samples during mixed dentition using robust analysis methods are still scarce. 2,6,7,8,9 More studies are required to prove stronger associations between tongue-positioning and speech problems with From the lists of students, 1,559 children between 7 and 13 years old were invited to participate in the study.…”

“…In Addition, speech difficulty is common, and it has an impact on psychosocial, social and academic development [4]. Also, a questionnaire on the impact of speech disorders quality of life was conducted, and it stated: "Speech difficulties can result in difficulties in the communication process, lead to social isolation, and affect quality of life" [5], so speech difficulty considered a major problem that can prevent people who have it from communicating with others, affects them academically and also their health. All people with Speech difficulty wish to have a way for their voice and speech to be understandable and clear.…”
