Palinologia de espécies de Malpighiaceae Juss. ocorrentes nas restingas do Estado do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract: -(Palynology of species of Malpighiaceae Juss. that occurs in "restingas" of Rio de Janeiro State). It were analyzed 17 species subordinate to eight genera that occur in Rio de Janeiro "restingas", aiming to contribute to the pollinic characterization of this species and to the pollinic catalog of "restingas" of Rio de Janeiro. The pollen grains were acetolysed, measured, described and illustrated under light microscopy to observe details of surface, non acetolysed pollen grains were analysed under SEM. Only B… Show more

“…On the other hand, regarding the pore diameter, we observed different results if they are compared with other Heteropterys species. While we observed a mean value of pore diameter equal to 2.80 μm, Gonçalves-Esteves et al (2007) observed values that ranged from 5.80 to 7.30 μm. With respect to exine ornamentation and thickness, the present results were very similar to those ones observed by Gonçalves-Esteves et al (2007) for other 5 species.…”

“…Gonçalves-Esteves et al (2007) described the pollen morphology of 5 species of Heteropterys, and reported that the diameter sizes (D1 and D2) ranged from D1 = 27.1μm and D2 = 27.8μm in H. rufula to D1 = 49.1μm and D2 = 45.3μm in H. coleopteran. According to the diameter of the grains, the authors classified the studied species as small and median pollen grains, respectively.…”

“…Pollen data about the Malpighiaceae genera analyzed were previously characterized in the studies of Salgado-Labouriau (1973), Anderson (1982), Makino (1986), Roubik and Moreno (1991), Makino-Watanabe et al (1993a), Melhem et al (2003, Magalhães-e-Silva 2007, Gonçalves-Esteves et al (2007) e Sousa et al (2010) Table 5.…”

“…The pollen morphology of Malpighiaceae has been described in the studies of Erdtman (1952), Lobreau (1967Lobreau ( , 1968, Salgado-Labouriau (1973), Anderson (1982), Lobreau-Callen (1983), Makino (1986, Makino-Watanabe (1988), Roubik and Moreno (1991), Makino-Watanabe et al (1993a, b, 1998, Amorim (2003), Melhem et al (2003, Gonçalves-Esteves et al (2007), Magalhães-e-Silva (2007), Sousa et al 2010, Dutra et al (2014), and Sebastiani et al (2014). These studies report about the palynology of the family, its genera or isolated species, and the differences in the pollen grains analyzed indicate Malpighiaceae as eurypalynous.…”

“…These characteristics provide a sound basis for correlations between fossil and modern pollen grains, permitting their taxonomic classification. The identification of pollen grains was made on the basis of data obtained from the following bibliographic sources: Moreira et al (2004), Souza et al (2004), Carrijo et al (2005), Gonçalves-Esteves et al (2007), Mendonça et al (2007a;2007b;2009;, Aguiar et al (2008), Peçanha et al (2008), Loueuille et al (2012) and Milward-Azevedo et al (2010;. This was in addition to consulting the reference collection of the Álvaro Xavier Moreira Laboratory of Palynology in the Botany Department of the National Museum of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.…”
