“…On the other hand, retreatment (relapse and readmission) represents a percentage of 12.6%, higher than the 10.0% estimated by the Ministry of Health 7,14 , but close to the 13.9% reported by Diniz et al 15 in eight municipalities of Brazilian capitals and less than the 17.8% of Vieira and Leitão 16 study carried out in Fortaleza. It should be pointed out that because it is a cross-sectional study, the odds ratio (OR) was chosen because prevalence of disease relapse and retreatment were less than 10%, since OR tends to overestimate associations and produce false positives when event prevalence is high (usually above 10%).…”
