Pp65 antigenemia for cytomegalovirus infection diagnosis in AIDS patients

Abstract: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is the most common opportunistic pathogen in AIDS patients, causing significant morbidity and mortality. Clinical manifestations of CMV disease are related to the injurie site, such as retinitis, gastrointestinal tract impairment, hepatitis, pneumonia, myocarditis, and central and peripheral nervous system alterations.
