Abstract: As fontes bibliográficas pesquisadas para esta revisão foram artigos publicados em revistas científicas indexadas, livros, documentos da Organização Mundial da Saúde, Ministério da Saúde e relatórios estaduais e nacionais relacionados à prevalência e medidas de promoção do aleitamento materno.
