“…Among the four regions only one (Ilha Grande), as an insular region, belongs to an environmental protection unit. This choice was strategic as it is a high population of T. angustula has been reported before (Lorenzon et al 2006), a condition which was not known for the other regions. All the studied regions lie in the Atlantic Rainforest morphoclimatic domain (Ab'Sáber 1977) and largely with a closed canopy forest (Dense Ombrophilous Forest), a secondary growth forest, greenlands, mangrove, salt marsh and beach vegetation.…”
