A cabeça foi mantida em posição natural (24) , os lábios selados e os dentes em oclusão cêntrica (19,22,25,26) . Antes da coleta, a criança recebeu informações sobre o procedimento de avaliação para que obtivesse sua cooperação no sentido de evitar interferências e movimentos durante a obtenção das medidas (19,22) .…”

“…O resultado de cada medida foi obtido pela média aritmética em milímetros das duas coletas (17,22) . As medidas coletadas foram: altura do lábio superior (do subnasal ao estômio); altura do lábio inferior (do estômio ao gnátio); altura do filtro (do subnasal ao labial superior); altura do terço médio da face (da glabela ao subnasal); altura do terço inferior da face (do subnasal ao gnátio); distância entre o canto externo do olho e a comissura labial no lado direito da face e distância entre o canto externo do olho e a comissura labial no lado esquerdo da face (17,19,22,23,25,26) . A proporção entre o lábio superior e o lábio inferior foi obtida a partir da divisão da média da altura do lábio superior pela média da altura do lábio inferior.…”
