Este texto é um fragmento de uma dissertação de mestrado defendida em 2023 no Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação. Envereda pelos caminhos da afrodescendência, do patrimônio cultural negro, das formas de morar e de alugar moradias na Comunidade Rosalina, um bairro negro que surgiu no início da década de 1990, no bairro Parque dois irmãos, na cidade de Fortaleza-CE. O “fenômeno” de seu surgimento pode ser explicado pelo déficit imobiliário causado pela especulação ao longo da citada década. As políticas capitalistas e racistas deste período sublinham às populações negras da cidade de Fortaleza a ocupação de terrenos como única possibilidade de conquista da moradia. Neste sentido, ocupa-se um território que nele será impresso uma forma de morar. Para esta população, a moradia é mais que um lugar em que a vida privada acontece, é um patrimônio. O patrimônio cultural negro abrange aspectos materiais e imateriais que são carregados de valores atribuídos pela própria população afrodescendente à sua memória, história e cultura. O objetivo foi compreender a forma de alugar e a forma de morar existente no bairro, destacando elementos da história e da cultura negra, as formas de vida, organização e sociabilidades no cotidiano. Como resultado, fica evidente as dinâmicas sociais e experiências cotidianas dentro de um contexto marcado pelo racismo antinegro e pela segregação espacial e social e que as formas de morar e de alugar na Rosalina apresentam aspectos que tornam a experiência afrodescendente específica, de modo que o morar e o alugar é um ato coletivo.

The same study shows that the share of rental expenses in family income, adjusted for the number of persons in the household, is 29 percent higher for households located in cortiços than for those located in houses or apartments.…”
