Abstract: The aim of the study was to evaluate the prevalence of repeated pregnancy among adolescents and identify associated factors and perinatal outcomes. A sample of 1,986 post-partum adolescents was selected from public hospitals in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. However, data from the original research, not exposed in this article, show that, despite the broad prenatal care coverage among the interviewed mothers, the younger adolescents had fewer medical consultations and later care beginning 28 . The most immature teenagers, both chronologically and biologically, have also shown lower weight gain and higher incidence of unwanted outcomes, such as premature birth and low birth weight 29 .…”

“…Policy documents from the UK were also used to explore elements of the theory areas under investigation, applying the criteria of relevance and rigor. Identified quantitative studies that were not synthesised in any 'pooled' analysis Twenty-one additional quantitative studies [112][113][114][115][123][124][125][126][127][128][143][144][145][146][147][148][149][150][151][152][153] were identified as included studies, but were not synthesised in any 'pooled' analysis as they did not report on or contain data relevant to the outcomes under investigation. We extracted data on other risk factors but had insufficient data to perform metaregression with any statistical integrity.…”
