Associação do índice de massa corporal e da relação cintura/quadril com hospitalizações em adultos do Município do Rio de Janeiro, RJ

Abstract: O índice de massa corporal tem sido associado à morbidade e à mortalidade. Câncer, doenças infecciosas e pulmonares têm sido associadas ao baixo peso; entretanto, qualquer grau de excesso de peso e também a deposição de gordura abdominal associam-se a diabetes e doenças cardiovasculares.
