Abstract: Este texto trata de una historia social del ambiente en la región de Patagonia, en especial las discusiones sobre el presente y el futuro de la región. En el trabajo confluyen tres líneas de reflexión. La primera consiste en el análisis de los conflictos ambientales de la historia reciente de la Patagonia.
