Análise da confiabilidade e reprodutibilidade da goniometria em relação à fotogrametria na mão

Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the intra- and inter-examiner reliability and reproducibility of goniometry in relation to photogrammetry of hand, comparing the angles of thumb abduction, PIP joint flexion of the II finger and MCP joint flexion of the V finger. Methods:The study included 30 volunteers, who were divided into three groups: one group of 10 physiotherapy students, one group of 10 physiotherapists, and a third group of 10 therapists of the hand. Each examiner performed the measurements on the same hand mold, … Show more

“…With the advance of technology and the expansion of access to IT resources, digital photogrammetry is becoming an important Six articles were found in the literature that mention this software in the methodology for such an objective. [23][24][25][26][27][28] These articles emphasized that this software is safe to use and has a trustworthy performance, and is therefore reliable.…”

“…Many authors 8,14,27 emphasized goniometry as a method widely used in physiotherapeutic clinic for ROM assessments. While photogrammetry is used as a toolfor analyzing postural asymmetries, as well as the flexibility of different segments 10,16 , Sacco et al 3 ,showed that both methodologies are equally reliable when analyzing other angles such as knee flexion and extension, even though computerized photogrammetry showed higher reliability values (r = 0.97) than goniometry (r = 0.83). According to César, Gomes, Marques, DomingosSantos 12 ,the availability of a real measure (in degrees) in ROM facilitates its interpretation and allows the perception of subtle changes in the measurements.…”

“…However, despite being inexpensive and easy to apply, this instrument is rater-dependent 5 , and therefore, its use has shown conflicting results between studies [6][7][8] . However, other studies 3,9,10 , showed "poor" to "excellent" reliability indices for the upper and lower limbs joints, respectively, although Aalto, Airaksinem, Harkonen, Arokoski 11 found low reliability in measurements of the knee joint. More recently, following the technological evolution, the use of computerized photogrammetry has been featured in the measurement of ROM, through recording, measuring and interpreting photographic images 12 using software that allows measuring angles and horizontal and vertical distances for various purposes 3,14 .…”
