This study evaluated the performance of health care services implementing TB control actions in relation to the establishment of bonds between health professionals and patients in São José do Rio Preto, SP, Brazil from the perspective of patients, health professionals, and managers.A total of 108 patients, 37 health professionals and 15 managers were interviewed through a questionnaire containing 10 indicators of bond-establishment based on the instruments of the Primary Care Assessment Tool, adapted to evaluate tuberculosis control in Brazil. The three groups of actors considered the establishment of bonds satisfactory, though opinions of patients and managers differed in almost all indicators. This fact indicates that the view of managers is still predominantly focused on bureaucratic and administrative aspects, which shows the need for managers to integrate more management and care actions. Vínculo entre profesional y enfermo en el tratamiento de la tuberculosis: desempeño de la atención básica en un municipio del estado de Sao PauloEl objetivo del estudio fue evaluar el desempeño de los servicios de salud que realizan acciones de control de la TB relacionado al vínculo entre el profesional y el enfermo, en el municipio de Sao José del Rio Preto, en Sao Paulo, en la percepción de enfermos, profesionales de la salud y gestores. Fueron entrevistados 108 enfermos, 37 profesionales y 15 gestores utilizando un cuestionario elaborado con 10 indicadores para la dimensión vínculo construidos con base en el Primary Care Asesment Tool, adaptado para evaluar de la atención a la tuberculosis en Brasil. El vínculo fue evaluado como satisfactorio por los tres actores, entre tanto hubo variabilidad entre las opiniones de los enfermos y los gestores en casi todos los indicadores, lo que permite inferir que la visión de los gestores todavía está orientada predominantemente por los aspectos burocrático/administrativos, necesitando que estos integren más las acciones gerenciales y asistenciales.

This is a qualitative study which aims to analyze the performance of the Family Health teams in the control of tuberculosis according to the relationship between bonding and the development of intersectoral actions in the metropolitan region of João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil. To construct the empirical material focus group techniques were used. Seven focus groups were conducted, involving 37 professionals of the Family Health teams. For analysis, the discourse analysis technique was used. It was concluded that the lack of intersectoral action weakens the bond between tuberculosis patients, their families and the Family Health team. It is noteworthy that intersectoral measures are fundamental in the development of integral care for tuberculosis patients in the context of Primary Health Care.

Diante dos problemas apontados na literatura relacionados ao acesso na atenção primária à saúde, o estudo teve como objetivo analisar o acesso ao tratamento do doente com tuberculose em Itaboraí.Um estudo exploratório, quantitativo, com 100 indivíduos entrevistados em agosto e setembro/2007.Utilizou-se o instrumento Primary Care Assessment Tool validado e adaptado para tuberculose. Resultados: 71% sempre conseguem atendimento médico; 54% disseram que o profissional que acompanha seu tratamento nunca visita em casa; 77% fazem tratamento na unidade mais perto da sua casa; 66% nunca deixam de trabalhar e utilizam transporte motorizado, 62% pagam transporte; 93% relataram que nunca faltou medicamento; 63% relataram que nunca demora mais de 60 minutos para consulta. Aspectos como a visita domiciliar e a distribuição do auxílio transporte devem ser revistos. O atendimento médico, o tratamento próximo à residência, a oferta das medicações e a espera pelo atendimento foram satisfatórios. El 71% siempre reciben la atención médica, 54% dijeron que el profesional que les acompaña en el tratamiento nunca los ha visitado en casa, 77% realizan el tratamiento en la unidad más cerca de casa, 66% nunca dejan de trabajar y hacen el uso de transporte motorizado, 62% pagan el transporte, 93% informaran que nunca les faltó medicación, 63% dijeron que nunca se necesita más de 60 minutos para consulta. Aspectos como visitas a domicilios y la distribución de la ayuda de transporte deben ser revisados. La atención médica, el tratamiento cerca de casa, la oferta de medicamentos y el tiempo de espera para el atendimiento fueron satisfactorios. Results: 71 % always get medical service in 24 hours; 54 % related that the professional who supervises the treatment never visits their homes; 77 % receive treatment near their homes; 66% never miss the job and use motorized transportations; 62 % spend money for transportation; 93 % reported that never had lack of medications; 63 % reported that never wait more than 60 minutes for attendance. The fact is that some aspects like home visit, distribution of credit to transport needs to be reviewed. The medical service, the treatment near home, the offering of medications and the waiting for attendance was satisfactory.
