Abstract: Este ensaio teórico tem como objetivo ressaltar a importância a ser dada pelo enfermeiro à questão ambiental e, especificamente, à poluição ambiental, no planejamento e implementação de ações de saúde, no que se refere à reprodução e a saúde materno-infantil.
