Ferric hydrogensulfate catalyzed synthesis of aryl 14H-dibenzo[a,j] xanthene derivatives under thermal and solvent-free conditions

Ferric hydrogensulfate as catalyst has been used for the one-pot preparation… Show more

“…In 3 and 4, the peaks at ca. 1400 cm −1 can be associated to iron oxyhydroxide [17], while the bands at 1229, 1140, 998, and 626 cm −1 are related to the S=O group [18,19]. These results relate well with the data obtained by thermogravimetric analysis ( Figure S4), where elimination of the coordinated water and hydroxy groups can be observed at 100-300 • C while the S=O group decomposition occurs at 500-700 • C.…”

“…The identification of the –SO 3 H groups on the silica by FTIR spectroscopy was troublesome as both –SO 3 H and SiO 2 groups have an absorbance peak in a very similar region (1000–1250 cm –1 ; Figure 4a) 30. Outside of this range, a very weak band for the S–O stretching mode (Figure S3) in ISS‐300 was observed at 600–700 cm –1 27,29,30. Therefore, for further confirmation of the anchoring of –SO 3 H and to check the wide applicability of the present method, sulfonated TiO 2 (1‐IST‐300; Supporting Information) was prepared similarly, and its FTIR spectra confirmed the presence of sulfonic acid groups (Figure 4b).…”

“…Geng‐Chen Li has developed a convenient eco‐friendly strategy for the amalgamation of 14‐aryl‐14 H ‐dibenzo [a, j] xanthenes subsidiaries by one‐pot buildup of 2‐naphthol and aryl aldehydes catalyzed by extended graphite under solvent‐free conditions . Shaterian et al, have declared ferric hydrogen sulfate and aluminum hydrogen sulfate Al(HSO 4 ) 3 catalyzed the essential one‐pot union of 14‐aryl‐14 H ‐dibenzo [a, j] xanthenes subordinates under warm and solvent‐free conditions by development of 2‐naphthol and substituted benzaldehyde . The union of dibenzoxanthenes by the buildup of aldehydes with β ‐naphthol within the sight of CBr 4 as an impetus has been reported .…”
