Show more

“…Those studies estimated ORL using the same models. This underestimation tendency was also found by to Von Randow and Alvalá (2006) and Aguiar et al (2011), which indicated that the problems could be related to the coefficients used on the equations, which are adjusted to other regions.…”

“…We noted that the six models tend to underestimate atmospheric emissivity values. Due to lack of studies about atmospheric emissivity in literature, the performance of our estimates were compared to Von Randow and Alvalá (2006) and Aguiar et al (2011). Those studies estimated ORL using the same models.…”

“…Incoming longwave radiation monitoring, in this region, requires spatially well-distributed, high density automatic weather stations (AWS) with an operating pygmometer. Currently, the AWS does not possess such equipment, and consequently, there is no measurement of incoming longwave radiation (Vilani et al, 2010;Aguiar et al, 2011). Recently, Aguilar et al (2015) showed that the difficulty for data collection is due to the price of the equipment and its calibration.…”

“…Recently, Aguilar et al (2015) showed that the difficulty for data collection is due to the price of the equipment and its calibration. Despite this, some studies have been developed in the region, such as Vilani et al (2010) and Aguiar et al (2011). However, these studies only estimate the variable over the time scale, and are not being spatialized using geostatistics.…”
