Abstract:ABSTRACT. This article conducts a case study describing the radiational and morphological characteristics of a Mesoscale Convective System (MCS) responsible temperatures below 210 K. The behaviour of the MCS followed that described in typical conceptual models, where early strong convection is followed by lower values of brightness temperature, and then display area expansion in its mature stage. We also found distinct relations between minimum brightness temperatures obtained from satellite imagery and precip… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
