“…An intercrop is considered efficient when the LER value is higher than 1.0, provided that the commercial pattern of the crops is reached (BEZERRA NETO et al, 2012). LER values higher than 1.0 were also obtained in intercropping systems between leafy-vegetables and/or leafy-vegetable and tubers, such as carrot and lettuce (ALMEIDA et al, 2015;BEZERRA NETO et al, 2007), arugula and coriander (MOREIRA, 2011), and carrot and arugula (LIMA et al, 2010).
