Abstract

ABSTRACT. Species of the genus MUlIida Leach (Crustacea, Decapoda, Gala· theidae) collected between Torres (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) and Maldonado (Uruguay), by the Project Rio Grande do Sul (PRS 1·11, GEDIP). The project PRS-GEDIP was carried out in the Rio Grande do Sul coast, with some few stations offMaldonado (Uruguay), by means ofaconvention between Instituto Oceanográfico US P (IOUSP) and the Grupo Executivo do Desenvolvimento da Indústria da Pesca (GEDIP) of Rio Grande do Sul. The purpose ofthis project was the acquisition of data in order to have a better biotic and abiotic characterization of the southern Brazilian coas!. Among lhe Galatheidae, about 1200 specimens of the genus Munida Leach, 1820 were collected, including five species as follows :

Diversity and distribution of Chirostyloidea and Galatheoidea (Decapoda, Anomura) in the Southern Gulf of Mexico
