Abstract

ABSTRACT. Recognition oflocality of Rodersherg cited by Reinhold F. Hensel in 1867, from Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Old descriptions ofspecies frequently present imprecise OI' even non-exisling loponyms. Based on comparisons oI' old collecting maps by HENSEL (1867), il is suggesled lhe river basin to which belongs lhe malerial collecled and designed as a new species (Rio Caí basin), namely Chilina parva Martens, 1868. The type-Iocality 01' lhis material, Rodersberg, can hardly be calegorically affirmed, bul as coordinales were raised, along olheI' evidences, il is suggesled lhallhe aClualloponym be Morro Reuler county, Rio Grande do Sul.
