Parapsaenythia inornata sp.n. do noroeste do Brasil (Hymenoptera, Apoidea, Andrenidae)

Abstract: ABSTRACT. PARAPSAENYTHIA INORNATA SP.N. FROM NORTHWEST BRASIL. A small black Parapsaenythia is described from Vilhena, Rondônia, Brasil. This species can be easily distinguished by lacking yellow and ferruginous marks. It is very densely and finely punctured and marginal depressions marked. Parapsaenythia costaricensis Friese, 1921, is excluded from this genus, and some comments are made on Parapasenythia fusca Vachal, 1909.

“…This species is known only from the female holotype. As described by Moure (1998), this species is easily distinguished from other species of Parapsaenythia by its black integument, without yellow or reddish brown areas. This is the only species in the genus with the marginal zone of the metasomal terga densely punctate, clypeus without median longitudinal carina, paraocular area and pronotal collar with reduced pilosity (Fig.…”
