“…It has remained unclear as to how the consumption of n3 fatty acids found in fish oil are incorporated into and distributed among the various lipoprotein fractions. Data from the current sub-study, however, demonstrate that the ingestion of fish oil alone (or in combination with ERN) leads to potentially beneficial changes in fatty acid composition of plasma lipoproteins, which can have numerous effects on lipoprotein function including the exchange of cholesterol esters [39] and so could impact the course of vascular disease.…”
