Show more

“…These results are in line with those of Bueno et al (2013), who used different application rates in potato crops and found that losses to the environment were higher with higher application rates in the absence of adjuvants. Therefore, the analysis of the physicochemical properties of the evaluated adjuvants indicated their ability to reduce surface tension and their anti-drift and adhesive spreading properties, with a potential improvement in spray cover and leaf wetness.…”

“…Therefore, research on more efficient methods of pest, disease, and weed control is necessary. The successful control is directly linked to the technology used to apply phytosanitary products, which can reduce costs and environmental risks (BUENO et al, 2013).…”

“…Terrestrial application rates between 200 and 400 L ha -1 are commonly used in potato crops. Thus, studies aimed at reducing these application rates are necessary, as long as they do not impair the efficiency of the control (BUENO et al, 2013). Several farmers are have been reducing the application rate to increase operational field capacity, aiming at minimizing costs and increasing the service life of mechanized assemblies (CAMOLESE and BAIO, 2016).…”
