O objetivo da pesquisa foi identificar a dinâmica populacional das espécies de nematóides nas culturas de algodão e soja em Cassilândia-MS. O experimento foi instalado na Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS), em duas áreas com 500 m² para cada cultura. As coletas de solo e raiz foram realizadas a cada 15 dias desde o início até o término das culturas, totalizando oito coletas. As amostras coletadas foram encaminhadas para o laboratório da Fundação Chapadão, em Chapadão do Sul-MS. Os nematóides identificados nas culturas foram dos gêneros Pratylenchus, Meloidogyne, Heterodera, Helicotylenchus, Mesocriconema, sendo a maior população encontrada para o gênero Pratylenchus, variando de 10 a 100 indivíduos/100 cm3 de solo para nos cultivos de soja e algodão. Quanto à ocorrência nas raízes houve variação de 560 a 5100 indivíduos/10 g para a soja, e de 70 a 2400/10 g para algodão. Os nematóides encontrados nas culturas de algodão e soja foram: Pratylenchus sp., P. zeae, P. brachyurus e Heterodera sp. O gênero Helicotylenchus sp. infectou somente o algodão e Meloidogyne sp. e Mesocriconema sp. exclusivamente a cultura da soja.Palavras-chave: Fitonematóides, Helicotylenchus, Pratylenchus, Heterodera, Meloidogy

The life cycle of the soybean cyst nematode lasts approximately 21-24 days at temperatures ranging from 23 °C to 25 °C. Mean temperatures above 25 °C are often found in Goiás State and in other Brazilian regions. Thus, the aim of the present study is to assess the penetration and cycle duration of Heterodera glycines Type 0- (race 3) in nematode-resistant and susceptible soybean cultivars grown in greenhouse under controlled conditions. The study was conducted at soil temperatures ranging from 23.9 °C to 31.1 °C using two soybean cultivars that were assessed in ten different periods; each assessment was conducted in six plants. The herein used soybean cultivars were BRS Valiosa RR and BRSGO 8860RR, which were, respectively, susceptible and resistant to the nematode. Root staining assessments were performed 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24 and 30 days after inoculation (DAI). Besides the root staining assessments, the females and eggs were also assessed through extraction using the sieving and flotation method, at the 30th DAI. Heterodera glycines J2 penetration was similar in both the susceptible and the resistant cultivars throughout the assessment period. It indicates that the nematode penetration was not affected by resistance. The Heterodera glycines cycle at soil temperature ranging from 23.9 °C to 31.1 °C and at room temperature ranging from 27.0 °C to 36.3 °C was complete in 15 days, in both the susceptible and the resistant cultivars. A similar number of J2 has penetrated the roots of both cultivars and greater penetration intensity was found from the 6th to the 15th DAI. The peak J3, J4 and female formation period in the resistant cultivar was later than that observed in the susceptible cultivar.

The soybean cyst nematode and control principles ABSTRACT The soybean crop (Glycine max) is one of the most important for Brazilian agriculture, being the agricultural commodity most exported by the country. However, its productivity is limited by the occurrence of various pests and diseases in which the nematode of the soybean cyst (NCS) stands out, whose etiological agent is the phytonematode Heterodera glycines. This phytonematode has caused great damage due to its easy dissemination, high reproductive rate, reasonable survival capacity among others, demanding careful phytosanitary management. Therefore, the principles of control in an integrated way may result in less impact of the phytonematoid in the soybean crop. This review is the section of bioecological systems and the essential use in control of NCS. The principles of exclusion, eradication, evasion, protection, immunization, therapy and regulation are detailed.
