Isolamento e identificação da morina em mel brasileiro de Apis mellifera

Abstract: Recebido em 23/10/07; aceito em 27/3/08; publicado na web em 1/9/08 ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF MORIN IN BRAZILIAN HONEY FROM Apis mellifera. The flavonoid fraction was purified by a combination of chromatography on Amberlite XAD-2 and preparative silica gel TLC. Morin (3,5,7,2', was the only flavonol found in honey from Brazilian Citrus sp.. The structure of morin was determined on the basis of UV and 1 H and 13 C NMR spectral data together with literature references. This is the first report on the isola… Show more

“…The procedure for the fractionation of honey was carried out as previously described. 3,6,9 Honey samples (50 g) were thoroughly mixed with 250 mL of distilled water and adjusted to pH 2 with concentrated HCl and filtered through cotton to remove solid particles. The filtrate was mixed with 75 g of Amberlite XAD-2 resin, pore size 9 nm and particle size 0.3-1.2 mm (Supelco, Bellefonte, PA, USA) and magnetically stirred for 10 min.…”
