Chemical study of leaves of Chrysophyllum marginatum (Hook. & Arn.) Radlk (Sapotaceae)

Abstract: Recebido em 5/4/05; aceito em 12/8/05; publicado na web em 8/2/06The fractionation of the antioxidant ethyl acetate extract obtained from the dried leaves of Chrysophyllum marginatum afforded six substances identified as: α-amirin, gallic acid, myricitrin, quercitrin, (-)-epigallocatechin and (-)-epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate.
