Acetogeninas de anonáceas isoladas de folhas de Rollinia laurifolia

Abstract: Recebido em 21/3/02; aceito em 11/9/02 ANNONACEOUS ACETOGENINS FROM LEAVES OF Rollinia laurifolia. Phytochemical investigation of hexanic extract of leaves of Rollinia laurifolia afforded three known acetogenins, uvariamicin-I (1), solamin(2) and gonionenin(3), for the first time isolated from Rollinia genus. The structures of 1, 2 and 3 were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.

“…In this context, many species of the family Annonaceae possess important biological properties, including cytotoxic, antitumour, abortive, immunosuppressant, antiemetic, vermicidal, antimicrobial, antimalarial and appetite suppressant activities, and some are employed as natural pesticides (Nascimento et al 2003). In the case of Annona crassiflora Mart., a plant that is endemic to the Brazilian Cerrado, where it is known as "araticum" or "marolo", the fruit is edible and much appreciated by the local population.…”

“…This family is characterized by the presence of terpenoids (mainly diterpenes), alkaloids (particularly isoquinoline derivatives) and essential oils with predominant composition of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes [4,5]. Another class of substances found in this family is the acetogenins of Annonaceae, which have many biological activities, and one of the most important is the antitumor activity [6].…”

“…Annona genus has also been well-characterized; caryophyllene, camphene, α-pinene, and β-pinene have been identified in the essential oil extracted from the leaves (BANDEIRA et al, 2011;CAMPOS et al, 2014). However, the active substances present in the plants of this family are still investigated (NASCIMENTO et al, 2003;SILVA, 2007;NUNES et al, 2012;ALMEIDA et al, 2014;KRINSKI et al, 2014). C. calophyllum is a semideciduous species flowering between the months of August and October, with the peak flowering in September and fruiting between the months of January and April (SILVA et al, 2009;ELIAS, 2010).…”

“…C. calophyllum is represented by trees and shrubs with heights ranging from 1.5 to 12m, commonly known as imbira, imbirinha, coast pepper, red pepper, among others (FECHINE et al, 2002;SILVA et al, 2009). Several communities use C. calophyllum to treat some diseases such as bronchitis, sinusitis, dysmenorrhea, and fever, and as a carminative, both in the form of syrup and tea (NASCIMENTO et al, 2003;COELHO et al, 2009;COSTA, 2011;COSTA et al, 2013).…”
