A r… Show more

“…The interaction also stressed Lithovit Forte in 2011 and the control in 2012 for Laura and Nena, respectively, with the highest β-carotene content in the grain. The type of treatment was also a source of Mg and Zn variation in Laura grain, while the year had a significant impact on Fe variation (Table 4) (Table 2), indicating the positive relationship between increases of the Zn concentration in grain and grain yield increases (Inocêncio et al, 2012).…”

“…Results from this study showed that polymer seed coating with micronutrients increased plant NDVI by 10.5% at 395 mL 100 kg seeds −1 , 10.2 and 10.8% at 8 weeks and 4.6 and 4.2% at 10 weeks after planting soybeans at 265 mL and 395 mL 100 kg seeds −1 , respectively. Researchers reported that higher wheat Leaf Area Index (LAI) were obtained with Zn applications (Nadim et al, 2012) and production of sorghum and wheat was positively correlated with micronutrient levels in the soil (Nandapure et al, 2011). Inocencio et al (2012 observed that Zn applications improved yields of soybeans, even when micronutrient availability in the soil was above the critical level.…”

“…Han et al (2011) added that soybean growth was mostly positively correlated with Zn fertilizer. Soybean yield increased with Zn fertilization, even in soils at above critical levels, so recommendations for Zn need to be revised (Inocencio et al, 2012).…”

“…Zinc fertilizers applied to the soil or leaves increased plant height and number of grains per plant compared with that in the control treatment, which showed the importance of applying Zn fertilizers to Zn-poor soils (Table 3). In a study on strategies to increase Zn contents in soybean, Inocêncio et al (2012) showed that the Zn dynamics and stocks in the soil-plant system significantly impacted soybean productivity even in soils with a Zn content above the critical level. Therefore, the restitution of exported nutrients must not be overlooked in fertilization programs.…”
