A new species of Aurigoniella Takiya, Mejdalani & Felix (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Cicadellini) from southern Brazil

Abstract: ABSTRACT. A new species of Aurigoniella Takiya, Mejdalani & Felix (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Cicadellini) from southern Brazil. Aurigoniella meridionalis, sp. nov. is described and illustrated from Morretes and São José dos Pinhais, Paraná State, southern Brazil. It can be easily distinguished from the Aurigoniella type-species, A. dutrai, by its distinct color pattern, smaller size, shorter crown, hindleg knees attaining lateral lobe of pronotum, aedeagus broadest height around mid-length, and paraphyses ramus… Show more
